Matthew Autterson Turns His Focus From Finances to Philanthropy

Matthew Autterson is president and CEO of CNS Bioscience, Inc. and serves on the board of Falci Adaptive Biosystems. Before beginning his current endeavors in health solutions and clinical drug development, Matthew Autterson got his start in finances in 1980 after graduating from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Finance. His career started at First Trust Corporation before moving on Integrated Resources, Inc. where he worked with a team to spearhead a new chartered trust company called Resources Trust Company. He went on to achieve the position of president where he helped grow the company to serve more than 200,000 customers and earn over $20 billion in custodial assets over a series of years and multiple acquisitions.

Autterson took his leadership skills for a turn when he started to focus his energy on philanthropy and the health sector. Along with his membership on the Falci Adaptive Biosystems Board of Directors, he has taken leadership roles on many of Colorado’s business foundations including Chairman of the Board of Directors of Denver Hospice. Falci Adaptive Biosystems is a non-profit organization that works to utilize the most recent technology to provide greater mobility to people with neuromotor disabilities. He also currently holds the roles of board member, president and CEO of the drug development company CNS Bioscience, Inc. CNS Bioscience focuses on clinical-stage drugs for neuropathic pain.

Though he pursued a variety of philanthropic endeavors in his community and field including membership in the Young President’s Organization, membership in the World Presidents Organization, serving on the Board of the Denver Zoo, and the Board of Denver Zoological Foundation, Autterson’s focus now is with Falci Adaptive Biosystems and CNS Bioscience. Though these endeavors may seem to be quite different from his background in estate-planning and investment-strategy, his leadership and development skills will prove to be invaluable to these growing organizations. CNS Bioscience, Inc. was founded by Dr. Scott Falci, M.D. in 2013. Dr. Falci is also the chairman and president of Falci Adaptive Biosystems. Autterson’s support of Dr. Falci’s newest company is a natural expansion of his recent work.
