Perry Mandera Gives Back To His Community With Love

Perry Mandera is a philanthropist and founder of Custom Cares Charities. Immediately after graduating from high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. While on duty, he drove trucks which sparked his interest in the transportation business. At the age of 23, he had worked for several transportation companies before starting his own business. In 1986 he founded The Custom Companies business headquartered in Illinois.

Under Perry’s leadership, The Custom Companies earned $200 million in sales as of recent. The provide local and contract cartage and foreign and domestic air freight forwarding. Perry Mandera was recognized by the Illinois Transportation Association as one of its “Top 100 American Transportation Executives of the Millennium” in the year 2000. What is most important is his passion for contributing to multiple charities physically and financially. His charities are focused on youth and educational charities, but he has made donations to many others such as; MADD, ALS Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Walter & Connie Payton Foundation, Jesse White Tumblers, Girl Scouts of America, Toys for Tots, National MS Society and Campus Crusade for Chris.

In 2013 when the tornado’s devastated Washington and Illinois, Mandera and his company donated their services to residents and businesses. He also helped after hurricane Katrina, using forty of his trucks to carry food and supplies to families in need. Perry Mandera has always made it clear that philanthropy and giving back will remain at the top of the company’s core values.

When Perry isn’t running a successful business or charity, he participates in outreach programs. He has coached youth basketball, football and baseball teams in his community. He enjoys sponsoring church activities and organizing local events. He is married with two children, and continues to stay dedicated to helping his community, church and family for a lifetime.
